The South Florida HEAT student-athletes are also utilizing the powerful platform of athletics to engage in service projects that positively impact some of our community’s most significant needs. Services for the infirmed, underprivileged, and addressing the animal overpopulation problem here in South Florida, are just a few of the ways that we positively impact our community.
We welcome you to find out more about the South Florida HEAT as a social, spiritual, and athletic home.
The South Florida Home Education Athletic Teams was established in 2004. Accredited by the FSHAA soon after, the HEAT was created to make it possible for homeschooled kids to participate and compete against public and private schools.
The South Florida HEAT started with a Track and Field team of about
twenty kids in 2005 and now has over 100 athletes. It has grown from one
sport to be a multi-sport organization. After Track and Field the South
Florida HEAT successfully added Girls’ Volleyball, Boys’ Soccer, Girls’
Soccer, and Cross Country. We have also added Boys’ Baseball, Boys’
Basketball, Swimming, Tennis. This year we have added Cheerleading,
Band, and Football! The goal of the South Florida HEAT is to be a “home for thehomeschoolers” not only athletically, but also socially and spiritually.
The Christian Homeschool Athletic Association (C.H.A.A. “SAINTS”) is a professional physical education program presently serving home school families from Hollywood, FL to Orlando, FL. C.H.A.A.’s sole purpose is to provide homeschooled children all the benefits of an athletic curriculum under the guidelines of professional instructors.
