High School and Preparing for College


Dual Enrollment-allows students in 10th, 11th, and 12th grades to simultaneously earn credit toward their High School diploma and a college degree. Students can enroll on campus or on-line.  Courses are free; students pay for books and materials,  there is a new ruling where some books may be included as part of dual-enrilllment. You contact a college.

 Bright Futures Scholarships -To be considered for Bright Futures Scholarship, you must request SAT or ACT test scores be sent to one of Florida’s 12 state universities or Florida state colleges (public community colleges) when the student registers for the ACT®/SAT® so the scores will be sent to the FLDOE repository. They will not accept parent-generated transcripts.
